My Name is Lori..

I enjoy many kinds of art, books and movies. I spend time with my three children, while they work on their distance education. I am the Village Steward for the online distance education program, Self Design, and truly enjoy the community there. My husband, Michael, helped with the name of this site as it pertains to how his own mom and dad live their lives together. His mom used to doodle in this manner when she was a child..

My art comes from my heart and I wanted to be able to share it with others to encourage the medium.  Just like many of you, I have been doodling for years, watching my mom tangle up her lines as she spoke on the phone to friends.. I would find her art on any given piece of paper lying around the kitchen table. Little did Mom know, 20 years after her passing, that her daughter would find these online and that the kinds of doodles she had been drawing were now on the internet! And.. how wonderful it is that we share those things and enjoy one another in a creative mixture.. collected websites and such, inspired by mandalas and art forms of the ancients.

I would encourage you to become acquainted with this kind of pen art, and allow it to do for you just what my mom did a number of years ago.
 
And that is to enjoy a quiet moment recreating peace on paper.
