Many Ways to Tangle
As there are many styles to tangle your lines into blocks, hearts, swirls, bubbles and daisies, so there are many ways to learning. Each child has their own special way of doing so, and each has the ability to learn in self direction, with self motivation being the ultimate goal. The problem is for us parents, how do we trust that they are learning in literally every thing they put their mind to, no matter how mundane or unimportant it is to us? I see it, and I know it.. and I'm still feeling at times as if I'm on the precipice of understanding and accepting it. Each realization of this value is like a new tangle to me.. beautiful and magnificent. I value that I'm still learning about how my children learn...
Hmm.. yes, I like the crows where we live.. and I enjoyed putting this tangle together. I found a few more ideas from the ladies who post their zen tangles on Flickr. Thank you my new friends for the feathery pattern and the wonderful ripple patterns around the head.. very sweet to use and I appreciate the inspiration!
The Koi fish were inspired by a lady on Flickr who made her pattern and shared it with everyone ever so willingly :) I like putting them into the pond with the rocks.. was very fun to make. The bugs were inspired as a variation of another zen tangler as well on Flickr. :) This postcard went to my smaller zen tangled friend in the U.S. :)) I hope she likes it!
My eldest boy, Zeb has a book that has Egyptian Hieroglyphs in it.. oh so inspiring.. I used the lamp wick and the wave pattern in my postcard here..
